Help is Available for Homeowners Facing Foreclosure

Individuals may seek help from New Jersey State Department of Law and Public Safety, Division of Consumer Affairs and the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. Materials to assist homeowners in need of guidance include downloadable booklets, frequently asked questions and schedules of seminars, all of which are available in English and Spanish. The Department of Banking and Insurance has also set up a toll-free hotline, 800-446-7467, to offer guidance, direction and the schedules and locations of foreclosure seminars.
