Pedro Mirabal
Pedro Mirabal enters his first term on the Aberdeen Township Council with decades of professional expertise, community leadership, and a deep commitment to the township he has long called home. A lifelong advocate for education and opportunity, Pedro brings a strong academic foundation to his public service, holding a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering from Polytechnic University/NYU, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from Monmouth University, and an Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Farmingdale University.
Pedro enjoyed a distinguished career with AT&T, where he served as a Network Solutions Engineer and later managed a team of fourteen highly technical Network Design Engineers. His work earned him several company honors, including Pinnacle, Achievers Club, and Spot Awards, as well as nominations for Who’s Who in Engineering. He also holds two patent applications for technical enclosure innovations, reflecting his drive for practical, forward-thinking solutions.
His contributions to Aberdeen extend far beyond his professional accomplishments. For more than 35 years, Pedro has coached Babe Ruth Little League and Aberdeen/Matawan travel baseball, mentoring young athletes and helping shape generations of local families through sportsmanship and teamwork. He has also led his community in charitable efforts, serving as Team Captain for the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and raising over $60,000 for research and support. Pedro is a co-founder and active member of HISPA (now HACEMOS) AT&T’s Hispanic leadership organization, and is known for his work as a church leader and motivational speaker, encouraging personal growth and community empowerment.
A longtime resident and homeowner in Aberdeen, Pedro shares his life with his wife, Maria, and their three sons, who inspire his commitment to building a prosperous, thriving future for all residents. As he joins the Township Council, Pedro Mirabal brings a steady, passionate, and community-centered vision to the work ahead, focused on education, responsible development, and the continued success of Aberdeen Township.
